Com2uS Holdings announced that it plans to improve its financial performance in the second half of the year through the launch of new titles and the expansion of its platform business.
Com2uS Holdings announced on the 12th that it recorded revenue of 15.6 billion won, an operating loss of 5.3 billion won, and net income of 7.7 billion won for the second quarter of this year. Revenue decreased by 43.1% compared to the same period last year, while the operating loss widened by 139.8%.
Net income turned positive, reflecting gains from the partial sale of investment stakes in affiliated companies.
In the second half of the year, the company plans to launch numerous new games across various genres to drive growth in its gaming business segment and accelerate the global expansion and business growth of its subsidiary, Com2uS Corporation. The strategy for the gaming business segment is to simultaneously expand profitability and the user base through genre diversification, including idle RPGs (role-playing games), action MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games), collectible RPGs, and casual puzzle games.
As the second half of the year began, Com2uS Holdings kicked off its performance improvement by launching the well-crafted collectible RPG “Star Sailor” and the deduction-based puzzle game “Color Sweeper.” “Ares: The Iron Vanguard,” reborn as an SF action RPG, has completed an early open beta in six countries and is preparing for a global launch in the third quarter.
The classic mobile RPG “Xenonia 1: The Threads of Memory” and the Metroidvania-style “Fatal Claw” will also be released on PC via “Steam” and on console platforms.
