KBS announced on the 13th that the first and second episodes of the two-part special variety program “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds: Redrawn,” produced to mark the 10th anniversary of “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,” will air on KBS 2TV at 8:30 p.m. on the 16th of next month and at 9:00 p.m. on the 23rd, respectively.
“Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” is a fusion historical drama depicting the coming-of-age stories of young people during the Joseon Dynasty. When it aired in 2016, it ranked No. 1 in TV buzz for seven consecutive weeks and concluded with a peak viewership rating of 23.3% (based on Nielsen Korea’s nationwide data).
The 10th-anniversary variety show “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds Again” follows the five lead actors—Park Bo-gum (Lee Young), Kim Yoo-jung (Hong Ra-on), Jin Young (Kim Yoon-sung), Chae Soo-bin (Jo Ha-yeon), and Kwak Dong-yeon (Kim Byung-yeon)—on a two-day, one-night trip. Production is handled by Start Company, which previously produced the TVING variety show “Youth MT.”
Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Jin Young, Chae Soo-bin, and Kwak Dong-yeon set off on a two-day, one-night trip to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, on the 4th. The production team stated, “Following Park Bo-gum’s suggestion to commemorate the 10th anniversary, Kim Yoo-jung, Jin Young, Chae Soo-bin, and Kwak Dong-yeon all joined in, making the two-day, one-night trip a reality,” adding, “The actors enjoyed the trip in a consistently bright and cheerful atmosphere, as if they had returned to the filming set from 10 years ago.”
