[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] “HYBE’s new act” TUIDE has transformed everyday scenes into their own cheerful stage, unveiling a new facet of their debut album.

According to their agency, ABD, TUIDE unveiled the “WE PLAY” version film and group photos for their first mini-album, “TUNE & PLAY,” via the group’s official social media accounts on the 12th. Set against the backdrop of Thailand’s sun-drenched streets, the visuals capture the seven members mingling freely, conveying a vitality distinct from their previously revealed concept.
At the heart of this video lies unpretentious joy. TUID roams through alleys, sampling local food, riding skateboards, and playfully teasing one another. Even in small moments, like feeding each other fruit, laughter never stops. It’s notable that the video prioritizes the intimacy and energy that naturally emerge when the members are together, rather than relying on staged poses or direction.
The sounds of the street also become part of the video. Against the upbeat rhythm of the track “GRLS,” the sounds of motorcycle engines, car horns, and the members’ laughter and voices overlap, making the entire city function like a single track. In sync with this, the camera moves constantly and cuts between scenes rapidly, capturing the fast-paced energy of the moment. This direction, which incorporates even the ordinary ambient noise of the surroundings as a musical element, more vividly showcases the free-spirited sensibility that Tuid strives for.
In the group photo released alongside the video, a sense of ease distinct from the video’s vibrancy is evident. Against the backdrop of an alley exuding vintage charm, their styling—which combines elements like denim and floral patterns—blends naturally. The seven members also revealed their individual personalities through relaxed poses and expressions while creating a harmonious atmosphere as a unified team.
The significance of this content becomes even clearer when viewed alongside the previous “WE TUNE” version. While “WE TUNE” showcased TUID’s refreshing and lyrical side amidst lush natural scenery, “WE PLAY” shifts the setting to the city center, emphasizing a more spontaneous and dynamic vibe. Through the contrasts of calmness and vitality, as well as nature and the city, this foreshadows that their debut album, “Tune & Play,” will not be confined to a single image.
Global interest in TUIDE, ahead of their official debut, continues to grow. The video for “Meet My GRLS, TUIDE,” featuring the track “Girls” and its performance, ranked 8th on Spotify’s “Global Music Video Chart” announced on the 10th (local time). The video has also surpassed 5 million views on YouTube and continues to climb the “Trending Music” charts.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that TUIDE prioritized showcasing their music and performances before formally introducing each member individually. Rather than following the conventional approach of introducing the faces and personalities of rookies, they adopted a strategy of establishing the group’s identity through their songs and stage performances, and are expanding their presence by generating visible buzz even before their official debut.
TUID is the first ABD girl group under the overall production of Han Seong-su, MP (Master Professional). Han MP has been recognized for his planning capabilities after successfully producing numerous K-pop groups, including SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ*ONE, and TOURS. Combined with HYBE’s global infrastructure and ABD’s distinct independent label identity, there is great anticipation for what new music and concepts they will unveil.
TUID’s first mini-album, “Tune & Play,” will be released on the 24th at 6:00 p.m.
