Photo: KolmarBNHCo.,Ltd At a board meeting held yesterday, KolmarBNH Co., Ltd approved an interim dividend, a treasury stock buyback, and the acquisition of the toothpaste business. Based on this, the company plans to fully implement a two-track strategy: enhancing shareholder value by building on its first-half earnings recovery while strengthening investments for future growth. Specifically, the company will cancel 640,000 shares out of the 1,120,636 treasury shares it currently holds. It will also pay a cash interim dividend of 60 won per common share. The dividend record date is August 26, and the total dividend payout amounts to approximately 1.7 billion won. This dividend was paid as a reduced-amount dividend using capital reserves, thereby lowering shareholders’ dividend income tax burden. The company plans to pursue a stable dividend policy, with quarterly dividends as the basic direction going forward. The company is also investing to secure future growth engines. KolmarBNH Co., Ltd will invest 20 billion won in the recently established Kolmar Orals and acquire KOLMAR KOREA’s toothpaste business to expand its business portfolio into the oral care sector. This business acquisition is part of a strategy to extend the R&D capabilities and manufacturing competitiveness accumulated in the functional health food ODM sector into the oral care sector. The company plans to enhance product competitiveness by applying its differentiated ingredients and formulation technologies to oral care product development and to cultivate this as a new growth engine based on synergies between the functional health food and oral care businesses. Lee Seung-hwa, CEO of KolmarBNH Co., Ltd, stated, “Building on our recovery in performance, we are expanding shareholder returns while simultaneously investing to secure new growth engines.” He added, “We will continue to pursue sustainable growth by maintaining a balanced approach between our ongoing shareholder return policy and investments for future growth.”
