According to MP Doctor, as of 9:25 a.m. today, KOLMAR KOREA is trading at 138,900 won, up 6,400 won (4.83%) from the previous trading day.
This is interpreted as having stimulated investor sentiment, as the company surpassed 100 billion won in quarterly operating profit for the first time in the history of the domestic cosmetics ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) industry in the second quarter of this year.
KOLMAR KOREA announced that it recorded consolidated revenue of 861.3 billion won and operating profit of 110.3 billion won in the second quarter. These figures represent increases of 17.8% and 50.2%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Operating profit exceeded market forecasts by approximately 16%. The domestic subsidiary led the improvement in performance, with revenue rising 31.2% year-over-year to 430.4 billion won and operating profit increasing 44.3% to 70.8 billion won.
Securities firms have successively raised their target prices, predicting that the growth momentum will continue into the second half of the year. LS SECURITIES raised its target price for KOLMAR KOREA to 200,000 won, while IBK Investment & Securities, DB Securities, Hana Securities, and KB Securities set their target prices at 180,000 won; SamsungSecurities, Daol Investment & Securities, Eugene Investment & Securities, KYOBOSECURITIESCO.,LTD., and HyundaiMotor SECURITIES set theirs at 170,000 won; and NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES, Korea Investment & Securities, and ShinyoungSecurities set theirs at 160,000 won.
Jeong Ji-yoon, an analyst at NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES, stated, “Both current market conditions and earnings are showing higher growth rates compared to the previous year, demonstrating the sustainable growth of the K-Beauty sector,” adding, “Strong order intake in the second half of the year is expected to be accompanied by margin expansion.”
Oh Rin-ah, an analyst at LS SECURITIES, said, “Based on current pre-orders, third-quarter demand is stronger than that of the second quarter,” adding, “The expansion of exports to Europe by scale-up clients is emerging as a new growth driver.”
