Set to premiere on the 26th, “Ghost Band” is a fantasy K-pop animation in which “Mita,” a singer-songwriter who can see spirits, befriends four unique ghosts to form the “Ghost Band” and takes on the challenge of performing at the concert of her dreams while facing interference from a major entertainment agency.
The “Running” music-making video, released on the 13th, draws attention by reinterpreting Yoon Sang’s long-beloved signature song with the “Ghost Band’s” unique sound. By adding rich band arrangements to the warm comfort of the original song, it infuses energy into the journey of “Mita” and the Ghost Band as they move toward their dream stage.

The released video features music director Yoon Sang directing and Kyung-seo recording, further heightening anticipation for the historic collaboration between the legendary producer and the rising artist that “Ghost Band” will showcase.
Through “Ghost Band,” Yoon Sang is taking on the challenge of serving as a music director for an animated series for the first time. Yoon Sang has composed not only “Running” but also Kang Soo-ji’s “Purple Scent,” IU’s “The Story Only I Didn’t Know,” and Lovelyz’s “Achu.” He is also known as the father of Anton, a member of the group RISE.
He explained his reason for taking on the role, saying, “I saw this as an opportunity to gain a new experience as a pop music producer, so I accepted the challenge with a spirit of adventure.”
Regarding “Running,” he added, “I created an acoustic arrangement suited for a band that’s even more powerful than the original version.” Director Geum Dong-ho also expressed satisfaction with the upbeat yet moving arrangement, stating, “‘Running’ is a song that embodies the film’s message.”
Regarding Kyung-seo, who provided vocals for “Mita,” Music Director Yoon Sang remarked, “Kyung-seo’s singing was Mita herself.” Kyung-seo commented on her collaboration with Yoon Sang, saying, “Since I’ve found so much comfort in listening to ‘Running,’ I was truly happy to be able to express this masterpiece with my own voice.”
The special poster released alongside the track captures the attention of viewers by featuring singer-songwriter “Mita” at the center, surrounded by the Ghost Band’s “spirit” members—“Hi,” “Jangmi,” “Beat,” and “Jiji”—all gathered in one place. Accompanied by the tagline, “Let’s properly introduce the Ghost Band!” the adorable images of ‘Mita’ and the four members of the Ghost Band create a complete visual that’s sure to win over new fans.
“Ghost Band” will have an exclusive release at Lotte Cinema locations nationwide on the 26th. The “Running” music-making video was released on the 12th via NEW’s official YouTube channel. The track will be available on various music streaming sites at noon on the same day.
