[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] Comprehensive entertainment company Me2on Co., Ltd(201490)significantly improved its profitability in the second quarter, driven by growth in its core gaming business and efficiency gains in AI-based marketing and operations.
Me2on Co., Ltd announced on the 13th that its consolidated revenue for the second quarter of this year reached 24.9 billion won, an 11.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit for the same period rose 61.6% to 4.8 billion won. The company explained that the improvement in performance was driven by the growth of its major games and the optimization of AI-based marketing and operations. It optimized its cost structure by strengthening its in-house game marketing capabilities, advancing user data analysis, and implementing AI-based targeting and workflow automation.
Its subsidiary, GHOST STUDIO(950190), also continued its growth momentum. GHOST STUDIO’s second-quarter consolidated revenue reached 22.1 billion won, an 8.2% increase year-over-year. Operating profit rose 26.7% to 4.9 billion won.
GHOST STUDIO explained that growth was driven by the steady performance of its major games and improved results from its Korean subsidiaries. In the second half of the year, the company is preparing to launch the new casual game “Solitaire Chef” and announce a new lineup of dramas and movies. It also plans to expand its “PixelPure” K-Beauty brand business.
Choi Won-seok, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Me2on Co., Ltd, stated, “Along with the growth of our major games, sophisticated AI-driven marketing and operational efficiencies have translated into tangible results, enabling us to achieve both revenue growth and a significant improvement in profitability.” He added, “In the second half of the year, we will continue to drive sustained growth through various growth engines, including the launch of new games, the announcement of a new content lineup, and the expansion of our K-Beauty business.”
