[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Korea Information Engineering ( Korea Information Engineering Services(039740)) achieved its best-ever performance since its founding, posting revenue of 233.6 billion won in the first half of this year. Revenue increased by 181% compared to the same period last year, and the company returned to profitability.

Korea Information Engineering Services, a company specializing in IT infrastructure, announced on the 13th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 233.6 billion won and operating profit of 1.5 billion won in the first half of this year.

Revenue increased by 181% compared to the 83.1 billion won recorded in the same period last year. Operating profit also rose by 171% compared to the same period last year. Net income stood at 1.5 billion won, marking a turnaround from the net loss recorded in the same period last year.

Notably, revenue for the first half alone surpassed the company’s previous annual revenue record. Korea Information Engineering Services’ previous annual revenue record was 194 billion won in 2024, and revenue for the first half of this year exceeded that figure by approximately 39.6 billion won.

This performance growth was driven by strong first-quarter revenue and business expansion in the second quarter. Korea Information Engineering Services recorded approximately 160 billion won in revenue in the first quarter of this year alone.

The company is expanding its business scope into the field of artificial intelligence (AI) alongside its existing IT infrastructure business. It recently secured a contract worth over 10 billion won with the Korea Maritime Technology Institute and is developing its own software, including the enterprise-grade private AI chatbot “HARO.Chat” and the AI appliance “B-ON.”

Korea Information Engineering Services plans to continue its revenue growth in the second half of the year by cultivating its proprietary AI products as new revenue streams.

Yoo Yong-seok, CEO of Korea Information Engineering Services, stated, “The strong sales performance of 160 billion won recorded in the first quarter laid the foundation, and maintaining our business competitiveness in the second quarter drove these strong results.” He added, “We will maintain this growth momentum in the second half of the year to enhance shareholder value and continue setting new performance records.”
