[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] Kakao Games Corp.(293490)SuperCat has released the first promotional video for its upcoming 2.5D MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) *The World of Goblins*, currently in development, and will begin pre-registration on the 20th.

The promotional video, released on the 13th, features actor Park Ji-hoon, who was selected as the official promotional model for “The World of Dokkaebi.” Park Ji-hoon portrays the game’s worldview by wearing traditional Korean-style sorcerer’s robes and unfurling a fan. The video also intuitively showcases the game’s core features—Korean-inspired themes and pixel art—through a scene where the armor of a medieval knight he is facing shatters into pixelated fragments.

“The World of Goblins” is a 2.5D MMORPG currently in development, built on an original worldview incorporating Korean-inspired themes and pixel art. It aims to provide a gameplay experience distinct from existing MMORPGs through a highly flexible skill deck-building system and clan-centered cooperative content.

Meanwhile, “The World of Goblins” is based on the Naver Web Novel “The Demon-Slaying Quest,” and a webtoon of the same name, utilizing the original IP, is currently being serialized on Naver Webtoon. “The Demon-Slaying Quest” has garnered significant attention from users, reaching No. 1 on the “Rising Popularity” chart and ranking within the top 10 on the “New Releases” chart immediately after its launch.

“The World of Goblins,” scheduled for official release in October, will begin pre-registration on the 20th.

Starting with pre-registration, Kakao Games Corp. plans to unveil key content and service plans through a showcase in September, and will gradually release game information by presenting various marketing content and events leading up to the official launch.
