[Edaily Reporter KYUNG GYEYOUNG ] d'Alba Global set new records for both quarterly revenue and operating profit in the second quarter, driven by strong performance in the U.S. and Japan. The proportion of overseas revenue also reached a new all-time high.

#d'Alba Global announced on the 13th that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter was 47.2 billion won, a 61.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Preliminary figures for the same period show revenue rose 45.6% to 186.9 billion won, while net income increased 92.2% to 38.1 billion won.

These figures exceed the average consensus estimates compiled by FnGuide Inc.—which projected revenue of 183.3 billion won and operating profit of 41.2 billion won—and represent the company’s highest quarterly results on record.

d'Alba Global’s growth was driven by its overseas operations. Overseas revenue reached 141.5 billion won, accounting for 75.7% of the total and setting a new record high. Revenue from Japan was the highest at 36 billion won, followed by North America (34.8 billion won), ASEAN (22.2 billion won), and Europe (20.5 billion won). The regions with the highest year-over-year growth rates were Europe (242%), North America (174%), and ASEAN (99%).

By channel, growth in online channels accelerated, with sales on Amazon in the U.S. increasing by 96% and on Amazon in Europe by 139% compared to the second quarter of last year. Sales on TikTok Shop in the UK and Germany also rose by 423% compared to the previous quarter. Online channels in Greater China and Shopee in ASEAN also recorded year-over-year sales growth rates of 101% and 103%, respectively.

Offline channels are also expanding. In terms of store count, the company expanded its presence in Japan—including through partnerships with Matsumoto Kiyoshi—increasing from 3,770 stores in the second half of last year to 5,040 in the second quarter of this year. In North America, additional entries into Costco boosted the number of stores from 1,696 to 1,889 over the same period.

In South Korea, second-quarter sales totaled 45.3 billion won, a 4% decrease compared to the second quarter of last year. This was largely due to efforts to streamline home shopping channels—which led to a reduction in broadcast frequency—and temporary shortages of sunscreen inventory caused by supply issues with PP containers.

d'Alba Global plans to expand into Shinhung markets such as India and the Middle East. The company intends to grow spin-off brands—including “Dalba Professional,” specializing in hair and scalp care, and “Dalba Signature,” a high-tech skincare line—and make an equity investment in the perfume brand “Quoka.” Concurrently, it aims to expand into adjacent new businesses while fostering high-value-added ventures such as the Vita Toning line.
