[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] EXA E&C, Inc(054940), a company that specializes in cleanroom and internal process facility construction for semiconductor and display production facilities, announced on the 14th that it has been awarded a contract for the internal process facility construction of the P5 complex building at SamsungElectronics’ Pyeongtaek Campus.

EXA E&C, Inc. announced in a regulatory filing that it has signed a contract worth 19,017,830,000 won with #SamsungE&A. This amount represents 10.74% of EXA E&C, Inc.’s revenue of 177,028,280,000 won last year. The contract period runs through May 30, 2028. The construction site is located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, and the work will be carried out through a combination of in-house and outsourced production.
Following its work on the P2 and P4 production facilities at SamsungElectronics’ Pyeongtaek Campus, EXA E&C, Inc is now participating in the P5 project as well. The company is expanding its order intake for semiconductor production facilities, including participation in the construction of SK hynix’s Yongin Semiconductor Cluster.
This contract is noteworthy as it comes amid growing expectations for expanded investment in production facilities by domestic semiconductor companies, driven by the recent recovery in the semiconductor industry. With SamsungElectronics and SK hynix showing strong performance on the domestic stock market today and leading the rise in semiconductor stocks, the continued investment in supporting infrastructure for semiconductor production facilities is likely to be highlighted.
Last month, EXA E&C, Inc. also signed a contract with SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION for Section 1 of the SamsungElectronics Pyeongtaek Campus P5 Phase 1 water treatment facility project, valued at 89 billion won. At the time, that contract was the largest single contract in the company’s history. With the addition of this latest contract, the company is seeing a steady stream of orders related to semiconductor production facilities, centered on the Pyeongtaek P5 site.
