[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #Simplatform Co., Ltd., a company specializing in physical artificial intelligence (AI), saw its revenue more than double in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, driven by an expansion in new orders and the recognition of project revenue.
Simplatform Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that it recorded revenue of approximately 2.7 billion won in the first half of this year, a 169% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue was recognized as major projects contracted during the first half were sequentially completed, while an overall increase in new orders drove revenue growth. However, the company posted an operating loss of 3.8 billion won during the same period, widening the loss margin. This was due to the reflection of related costs incurred while continuing to invest in business operations to accommodate the increase in orders and project expansion.
Simplatform Co., Ltd. is expanding its new projects, focusing on the manufacturing and semiconductor sectors. It recently signed a contract worth approximately 2.5 billion won with Korea Alps to optimize AI-based mold manufacturing processes and also secured a proof-of-concept (PoC) project for research automation using AI.
The company is increasing the number of AI applications in industrial settings, such as through a pilot project with global semiconductor firm Infineon to apply AI to production processes. For some projects, it is supplying hardware alongside AI solutions.
Simplatform Co., Ltd. plans to strengthen its foundation for revenue growth by securing new orders and expanding the scope of its project execution.
Simplatform Co., Ltd. official stated, “Projects secured in the first half of the year are being recognized as revenue sequentially, and new orders continue to come in.” The official added, “As demand for AI adoption in industrial settings—particularly in manufacturing and semiconductors—is expanding, we expect to continue this growth momentum in the second half of the year by consistently securing relevant references.”
