[Edaily Reporter KIM SAE-MI ] ENZYCHEM LIFESCIENCES CORPORATION(183490)received a “disclaimer of opinion” from its accounting auditor for both its consolidated and separate financial statements for the first half of this year. This marks the second consecutive period—following last year’s disclaimer of opinion on its annual financial statements—in which the company has received a non-conforming opinion.
ENZYCHEM LIFESCIENCES CORPORATION announced on the 14th that it had received a “disclaimer of opinion” from Ichon Accounting Firm regarding its consolidated and separate financial statements for the first half of this year.
The auditor cited the following reasons for the disclaimer of opinion on the separate financial statements: △ limitations on the scope of review of the underlying financial statements; and △ constraints on the review procedures for subsidiaries. For the consolidated financial statements, the auditor also cited limitations on the scope of review of the underlying consolidated financial statements and constraints on the review procedures for subsidiaries.
ENZYCHEM LIFESCIENCES CORPORATION received unqualified opinions for both its consolidated and separate financial statements in the first half of last year, but received a qualified opinion for the 2025 fiscal year due to limitations in the scope of the audit. Issues such as a lack of sufficient audit evidence regarding loan transactions with CookArchive and their accounting treatment, as well as deficiencies in internal controls, were previously raised.
Meanwhile, ENZYCHEM LIFESCIENCES CORPORATION’s first-half consolidated revenue was 38.4 billion won, a 3.4% increase compared to the same period last year. During the same period, operating loss rose 17.2% to 7.3 billion won, while net loss decreased 3.9% to 4.7 billion won.
