According to the latest UK Official Charts (August 14–20), BTS’s fifth studio album “ARIRANG” reached No. 59 on the “Official Albums Top 100,” marking its 21st consecutive week on the chart.
Surpassing the 19-week record they set with their sixth mini-album, *MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA*, the group continues to break its own records week after week. *ARIRANG* has remained on the charts longer than any other album released in 2026, second only to Harry Styles’ *Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.’ (23 weeks) among all albums released in 2026. That album was released on March 6, two weeks before ‘Arirang.’
“Arirang” also performed consistently across various sub-charts. It ranked 22nd on the “Official Physical Albums” chart, 24th on both the “Official Scottish Albums” and “Official Album Sales” charts, and also appeared on the “Official Vinyl Albums” (No. 37) and “Official Album Streaming” (No. 75) charts.
On Spotify’s “Weekly Top Albums Global” chart (tracking period: August 7–13), it secured the No. 3 spot for the second consecutive week. Even nearly four months after its release, the album continues to firmly hold its position in the top ranks, fluctuating between the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. The title track “SWIM” climbed to No. 10, marking its 21st consecutive week in the top 10. Additionally, the tracks “NORMAL” (No. 49) and “Body to Body” (No. 197) also made it onto the charts.
According to a survey of U.S. music consumers conducted by global music data firm Luminate in the second quarter of this year, BTS’s local recognition rate reached 42%. This figure, which far exceeds the average recognition rate of 24% for all artists, demonstrates the group’s influence.
According to Luminate, since its release on March 20, “Arirang” has recorded a total of 3.8 billion global on-demand streams (audio and video combined) across major music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music over the course of eight weeks.
