The game between the NC Dinos and the Lotte Giants in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League, held at Sajik Stadium in Busan on the 15th, was suspended during the sixth inning. This measure was taken because smoke drifting in from outside blanketed the field, making it difficult to maintain the visibility necessary to continue the game.
After assessing the situation, the umpires temporarily halted the game. The game resumed around 9:01 p.m., approximately 19 minutes later, as the smoke began to clear.
The smoke was reportedly caused by fireworks used during PSY’s “PSY Soak Show: Summer Swag 2026,” held that day at the nearby Busan Asiad Main Stadium. An announcement appeared on the Sajik Stadium scoreboard stating that the game was being suspended due to smoke from the nearby concert drifting into the stadium.
A similar situation occurred last year. In August of last year, smoke from the fireworks at Psy’s “Psy Soak Show” in Busan spread as far as Sajik Stadium, causing the game in progress at the time to be suspended.
