[Edaily Reporter Kim Una ] The Jeju Ramada Plaza Hotel is set to reopen as the Sheraton Jeju Hotel. The Sheraton Jeju Hotel announced that it will officially open on September 14 following a rebranding. Since opening in 2003 as the Jeju Ramada Plaza Hotel, the property has established itself as an iconic landmark in downtown Jeju City. After 21 years of operation,the hotelunderwent a comprehensive renovation for one year and eight months starting in January 2025. The hotel stated that the renovation not only improved facilities but also introduced innovations across the board in terms of brand, service, and space. Through this, the hotel aims to provide an enhanced stay experience for domestic and international travelers and business guests, leveraging Marriott International’s global brand competitiveness and world-class service standards. The hotel features 402 guest rooms. The rooms harmoniously blend interiors inspired by Jeju’s natural surroundings with a modern aesthetic. Various room types—including ocean view, harbor view, and city view—offer panoramic vistas of Jeju’s ocean, harbor, and cityscape. The hotel’s diverse amenities are also noteworthy. Guests can enjoy swimming while gazing out at the Jeju Sea from the 100-meter-wide infinity pool, which faces the coastline. The large banquet hall, which can accommodate 1,500 people, is planned to serve as a hub for MICE events, including corporate and group gatherings. The hotel’s dining options include “Daily Social,” a buffet restaurant featuring Jeju ingredients; “& More,” a lounge bar; and “28g,” a bakery café. Ha Jin-seok, General Manager of the Sheraton Jeju Hotel, stated, “This renovation goes beyond simply changing the hotel’s exterior; it is a transformation aimed at setting a new standard for travel for all guests visiting Jeju.” He added, “Based on the prestige of a global brand and Jeju’s unique warm hospitality, we will establish ourselves as Jeju’s premier hotel.”
