According to his agency, Mystic Story, on the 17th, Choi Sang-yeop will marry his non-celebrity fiancée later this month.
The agency stated, “Choi Sang-yeop is about to embark on a new chapter with his special partner,” adding, “We fully understand that fans may be surprised by this sudden news. We would appreciate it if you could continue to support him with warm hearts.”
They continued, “Out of consideration for his fiancée, who is not a celebrity, the ceremony will be held privately,” and added, “Accordingly, we ask for your understanding as we are unable to disclose specific details.”
Choi Sang-yeop is a member of the group Lucy, which was formed through JTBC’s band survival program “Superband,” and made his official debut in 2020. LUSY has gained popularity with songs such as “Gaehwa,” “No, But Seriously,” “Hero,” and “Mirage,” and last May, they held their first solo concert at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park—an indoor venue with a capacity of over 10,000 seats—since their debut.
Mystic Story stated, “Choi Sang-yeop plans to continue repaying fans with great music and activities as a member of Lucy.”
In a handwritten letter posted on the fan community that day, Choi Sang-yeop wrote, “I am about to embark on a new chapter in life with someone I have cherished and relied on for a long time,” adding, “I will do my best to continue repaying you with even better music and performances on stage, just as I have done until now.”
