i-Scream Media CO., LTD. Reports 64.5% Year-Over-Year Increase in First-Half Operating Profit… “Stable Growth in Core Businesses”

[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] AI and edtech company i-Scream Media CO., LTD. announced on the 19th that it recorded revenue of 92.5 billion won and operating profit of 23.9 billion won in the first half of this year. These figures represent increases of 18.5% and 64.5%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Net income for the same period was 34.5 billion won, a 197.4% increase year-over-year.
Growth in core businesses such as educational publishing and e-commerce drove these results. The educational publishing division recorded first-half revenue of 59.8 billion won, driven by expanded supply in line with the revised curriculum. The e-commerce division achieved revenue of 29.1 billion won by supplying teaching aids and educational products to schools.
Along with its earnings growth, i-Scream Media CO., LTD. is also expanding shareholder returns. In accordance with its shareholder return policy of distributing 40% of net income as cash dividends, the company decided on the 7th to pay an interim dividend of 1,083 won per share, totaling 13.8 billion won.
In addition, the company decided to enter into a trust agreement for the repurchase of 5 billion won worth of its own shares. It plans to cancel 70% of the repurchased shares.
In terms of new businesses, the company is targeting domestic and international education markets with initiatives centered on “issamGPT,” an AI platform tailored for the classroom; “KinderBoard,” an AI-powered work support service for early childhood educators; and “LumiTeach,” a global AI edtech classroom platform. It is also pursuing expansion into the caregiving sector using “Grim Yakbang,” a cognitive art program specialized for seniors.
Hyun Jun-woo, CEO of i-Scream Media CO., LTD., stated, “Our first-half results reflect the stable growth of our core businesses, including educational publishing and e-commerce,” adding, “In the second half of the year, we will fully launch our AI education services and new business initiatives to simultaneously boost both growth and profitability.”
