This marks the first time Mimi, who debuted as a member of Oh My Girl in 2015, is releasing a solo track and embarking on solo activities.
The title track, “Bishi Bashi Bosi,” shares the same name as the single and explores themes such as “readiness,” “self-confidence,” and “bold energy.” Mimi wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and produced the track herself, conveying the message: “I’m ready—now it’s time to show my true self.”
Her agency, DSP Media, stated, “This song vividly expresses the true value of Mimi, an unpretentious artist,” adding, “It features a rough, breakbeat-based rhythm, a heavy bassline, a repetitive hook, and intuitive energy.”
The music video sensually captures Mimi’s journey of growth as she becomes immersed in DJing, along with the passion for music that blossoms within that process. The agency noted, “Mimi showcased her hip charm by enjoying music with her whole body in a free-spirited atmosphere.”
Mimi, who is also active in variety shows, is currently appearing on the tvN variety program *Uju Tteokjip*. Her solo debut single and music video will be released at 6 p.m. today on various online music platforms.
