[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] SamsungElectronics(005930)will unveil new products in the Galaxy S26 series at the end of this month. It is highly likely that the “Galaxy S26 FE (Fan Edition),” an entry-level flagship model, will be unveiled.

SamsungElectronics announced on the 20th that it will host the “Samsung Galaxy Event” online at 9 p.m. on the 27th.

The event will be livestreamed on Samsung.com and SamsungElectronics’ official YouTube channel. SamsungElectronics has teased that it will “introduce a new family of Galaxy S26 series devices” at this event.

Industry observers are speculating that the new product will be the Galaxy S26 FE. The FE lineup consists of models where SamsungElectronics retains the key features of the Galaxy S series while adjusting certain specifications to lower the price.

This release schedule is similar to that of its predecessor. SamsungElectronics unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE at the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) held in Berlin, Germany, last September.

At the time, SamsungElectronics introduced the S25 FE as the most accessible model in the Galaxy S25 lineup, emphasizing its flagship-level Galaxy AI features. It was released in South Korea on the 19th of that same month for 946,000 won.

In its event invitation, SamsungElectronics explained that the device offers everything from the Galaxy S26 series’ core experiences—such as the camera and AI—to the latest One UI. This is interpreted as a strategy to expand the user base for Galaxy AI by extending the features of its top-tier products to the FE model.

The new model is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and SamsungElectronics’ Exynos 2500 application processor (AP). Rumored specifications include 8 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB.

The camera is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup centered around a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel 3x telephoto lens. The battery capacity is estimated to be 4,900 mAh, with wired charging support of up to 45W.

Prices are expected to rise compared to the previous model due to rising component costs, including memory. The domestic manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the base Galaxy S26 model (256GB) is 1,254,000 won, a 99,000-won increase from its predecessor.
