Cafe24 Corp., a global e-commerce platform, announced on the 21st that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Vocational College on the 20th to foster AI talent through industry-academia collaboration.
Located in the Guro Digital Complex in Seoul, Korea Vocational College is a vocational training institution certified by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, established in 1998. It has been offering practice-oriented curricula in IT fields such as AI, full-stack development, and web and app development.
This agreement was initiated to integrate AI technology into the classroom, enabling students to gain hands-on experience ranging from project execution to service implementation and deployment.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on operating project-based training programs using Cafe24 Corp.’s Agent AI, providing an environment for implementing and deploying project outcomes via Cafe24 AI Space, supporting AI hands-on training environments using the Cafe24 LLM Router, jointly developing and operating AI educational content and curricula, and running programs that connect AI education to entrepreneurship and employment.
Cafe24 Corp. supports project-based education utilizing Agent AI such as OpenCLO and Hermes Agent. It also provides an environment through Cafe24 AI Space where trainees can implement and deploy AI-generated outputs as actual services. AI Space is a service that supports everything from code generation to service implementation and deployment based on conversations with AI.
It also offers a hands-on training environment based on the LLM Router, where users can experiment with various AI models. The LLM Router is an AI operations infrastructure that connects over 120 AI models—including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini—via a single API, enabling their integrated use.
Cafe24 Corp. also provides educational accounts, service manuals, and usage guides. It offers special lectures and mentoring sessions led by industry professionals.
The Korea Vocational College plans to integrate Cafe24 Corp.’s services into its curriculum and project-based training so that students can experience the actual process of service development and improvement.
Students will carry out projects using AI agents and various AI models, experiencing the entire process of implementing and deploying their results as actual services. It is expected that they will go beyond simply using AI tools to directly complete the projects they have planned, thereby developing the AI utilization skills required in the professional field.
Based on this collaboration, the two companies plan to continuously enhance their hands-on AI curriculum and work together to build an educational ecosystem that connects AI education to entrepreneurship and employment.
Kim Jae-eun, General Manager of the Business Platform Team at Cafe24 Corp., stated, “As AI technology is rapidly adopted in the industrial sector, it is becoming increasingly important to cultivate talent capable of applying AI to real-world projects and work.” She added, “Based on Cafe24 Corp.’s AI infrastructure and the Korea Vocational College’s educational capabilities, we will continue our collaboration to build a practice-oriented educational environment where students can directly apply AI and complete their projects.”
