[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Boy band ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Jay, Jake, Seonghun, Seonwoo, Niki) is releasing a new album for the first time since reorganizing as a six-member group. All eyes are on whether this release will soothe fans’ unsettled emotions following the sudden departure of member Evan (formerly known as Heeseung) and serve as a springboard for a new leap forward.

◇New Release in the “THE SIN” Series, Inspired by the Theme of “Sin”
ENHYPEN will release their 8th mini-album, “THE SIN: BLISS,” on the 21st. All tracks will be released at 1:00 p.m. that day via various online music platforms.
“THE SIN: BLISS” is the second album in the “THE SIN” series, which is themed around “sin.” Previously, ENHYPEN kicked off the series with their 7th mini-album “THE SIN: VANISH,” released last January.
This album depicts the conclusion of the journey faced by a couple who broke a taboo and chose to flee in a world where humans and vampires coexist. The emotional arc of the two characters—who come to realize that simply being together is a blessing, even amid repeated threats and conflicts—is woven throughout the album.
The title track is “Bloody Paradise,” a Brazilian funk-genre song. The song uses the paradoxical expression “bloody paradise” to convey the couple’s inner world, which stands in stark contrast to their desperate circumstances. JULiA LEWiS, who produced a track on Latin pop star Bad Bunny’s Grammy Award-winning album, collaborated on the song, while Gaeko of Dynamic Duo contributed to the lyrics.

ENHYPEN expresses the love of a vampire, focused solely on their partner, through dynamic and precise choreography. Previously, they premiered the performance of this new song during the Busan leg of their “BLOOD SAGA” world tour held on the 8th and 9th, earning an enthusiastic response from fans.
The album features a total of 10 tracks. Designed as a concept album where the narrative, lyrics, and sound of each track flow organically together, it includes four narration tracks. Following their previous release, actor Park Jung-min, Japanese actor and voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda, and Chinese singer Huang Zihongfan participated in the narration.
◇Four Consecutive Million-Sellers… Will the Upward Trend Continue?
ENHYPEN debuted in November 2020 after appearing on Mnet’s idol survival program “I-LAND.” They have established themselves as a top boy group by achieving “million-seller” status with four consecutive albums, including their previous release.
“The X: Bliss” is drawing even more attention as it marks ENHYPEN’s first album as a six-member group following Evan’s departure. Evan suddenly left the group last March, causing a major uproar. It is highly unusual for a member of an idol group—now in its seventh year of activity—to leave the group and transition to a solo career.
At the time, some fans sent thousands of emails to various media outlets in a single day, voicing their belief that “ENHYPEN must remain a 7-member group.” They emphasized that, as seen with other groups, it is possible to pursue solo activities while remaining part of the group, and demanded that Evan reverse his decision to leave.

However, Evan ultimately transitioned to a solo career while remaining under BELIEVE LAB—the same agency as ENHYPEN—and released his first single, “RIDE OR DIE,” on the 6th. He is set to unveil his comeback mini-album, “DEATH OF ME,” on the 7th of next month.
Although the backlash following his departure has subsided somewhat, some fans are still demanding that N.HYPEN return to a 7-member lineup. Against this backdrop, all eyes are on whether N.HYPEN will successfully carry out this promotional run, stabilize their 6-member lineup, and put fans’ concerns to rest. Additionally, attention is focused on how they will fare against top boy groups like Stray Kids, Big Bang, and NCT 127—who are releasing new music around the same time—in terms of album and digital sales rankings.
At a comeback press conference held the previous day, ENHYPEN described this new album as “the one we’re most satisfied with throughout our entire career” and expressed confidence, stating, “We’re certain this will be the album where we shine the brightest.”
