[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-wook ] SNTEnergy Co.,Ltd. has secured a contract worth approximately 32 billion won to supply air-cooled condensers to Saudi Arabian petrochemical company SABIC.

SNTEnergy Co.,Ltd. announced on the 21st that its Saudi subsidiary, SNT Gulf, signed a contract with SABIC to supply air-cooled condensers worth $23 million (approximately 32 billion won). The contract period runs from the 20th of this month through March 31 of next year.

This contract is part of a restoration project to completely replace damaged equipment at an olefin plant in the Jubail region of Saudi Arabia, which had suspended operations due to damage sustained during recent conflicts. SNT Gulf plans to manufacture and supply the products directly from its own plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

This marks the first time a South Korean company has secured a contract this year related to the restoration of facilities damaged by the war in the Middle East.

SNTEnergy Co.,Ltd. stated, “We understand that there are additional damaged oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities in the Middle East,” adding, “There is a possibility of securing additional contracts once reconstruction projects gain full momentum.”
