Kim Jaejoong left TVXQ in 2009 alongside Kim Junsu and Park Yuchun to form JYJ. Since then, he has been embroiled in a long-running exclusive contract dispute with his former agency, SM Entertainment, and faced difficulties in his career following the drug scandal involving his former bandmate, Park Yuchun. Kim Jaejoong appeared on the previous day’s episode of “Music Bank” to debut the stage performance of “Tonight,” the title track from his new single “THE WAVE.” This marked his first appearance on “Music Bank” in approximately 18 years, since 2008. “Tonight” is a song that expresses his aspiration to “once again connect with fans on stage and dive into the world.” On the day of its release, the song reached No. 1 on the Bugs Top 100 chart. Kim Jae-joong will hold his solo concert “THE WAVE” on the 29th and 30th at the KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
