ONEUL E&M announced on the 24th that it will hold an in-person investor relations (IR) briefing on the 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hurim Building on Hyoryeong-ro in Seocho-gu, Seoul, for domestic and international institutional investors, retail investors, and securities analysts. During this briefing, the company plans to provide an overview of the company, key first-half business performance, the status of its major business operations and core competitive strengths, as well as updates on the ongoing lawsuit and tax appeal regarding the cancellation of the value-added tax (VAT) assessment. In particular, the company will focus on sharing details regarding the VAT assessment for which it recently received a revocation notice from the tax authorities, as well as its future response strategy. Following the Tax Tribunal’s decision to reexamine the case, ONEUL E&M previously conducted a reexamination of the initial VAT assessment of approximately 29.6 billion won imposed by Investigation Division 4 of the Seoul Regional Tax Office and recently received notification that the assessment has been fully revoked. During this IR session, the company plans to explain to investors the sequence of events leading up to the cancellation of the initial assessment, as well as its response strategies for the remaining tax-related procedures. It will also present a roadmap for normalizing its financial structure following the resolution of tax risks, along with plans to strengthen the competitiveness of its core business.
