The company is integrating data collected via drone imagery, aerial photography, LiDAR, multi-directional cameras, and Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS) with its proprietary digital twin platform. It is focusing on precision processing to convert this data—beyond simple map formats—into 2D and 3D data that can be directly utilized for autonomous vehicles, UAM, and smart mobility. In particular, the company plans to establish a virtuous cycle of data management—spanning data acquisition, construction, utilization, and continuous updating—to facilitate the practical application of autonomous driving technology. Moving forward, EGIS Co., Ltd will embark on platform enhancement based on its accumulated technical expertise. The company plans to introduce technology that automatically analyzes changes in roads, buildings, and terrain by combining artificial intelligence (AI) with aerial and drone imagery, and significantly strengthen data search and road environment analysis capabilities by integrating generative AI. EGIS Co., Ltd. stated, “The commercialization of autonomous driving must be supported not only by vehicle performance but also by high-precision maps that accurately reflect actual urban spaces,” adding, “By combining AI change detection and generative AI technologies, we will expand the scope of application for our digital twin platform to various cutting-edge industrial sectors.”
