[Edaily Park Jung-Soo Reporter] Next-generation leisure platform company Daesung Fine Tech. Co., Ltd(104040)has partnered with PARADISE City to target demand for Korean tourism centered around Incheon International Airport.
DSM Corporation announced on the 25th that it has signed a business agreement to link “9.81 Park Incheon Airport” with the nearby integrated resort PARADISE City and to pursue joint marketing efforts.
Paradise City is an integrated resort on Yeongjong Island operated by Paradise Segasami, a subsidiary of PARADISE(034230). It features 1,270 hotel rooms—including those at the Hyatt Regency Incheon and Paradise City—as well as a casino, convention center, spa, entertainment venues, and cultural and arts facilities.
DSM Corporation’s 9.81 Park is a leisure theme park that combines experiential activities—such as “Gravity Racing”—with AI-based systems for record-keeping, rankings, video, and gaming. 9.81 Park Jeju, which opened in 2020, has surpassed 3 million cumulative visitors.
Scheduled to open next spring, 9.81 Park Incheon Airport will be developed as a large indoor stadium capable of accommodating approximately twice as many visitors as the Jeju location. It plans to introduce new activities and game systems, including next-generation racing vehicles equipped with robotics and AI technology. The company aims to attract more than 1 million visitors in its first year of operation.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to tap into new tourism demand encompassing passengers and transfer passengers at Incheon International Airport, as well as customers in the Seoul metropolitan area. According to the company, Incheon Airport handles approximately 70 million passengers and 8 million transfer passengers annually, while the potential customer base in the Seoul metropolitan area is estimated at approximately 26 million.
In particular, 9.81 Park Incheon Airport and Paradise City face each other across the Incheon Airport Maglev Paradise City Station, allowing the two facilities to be linked into a single tourist route. The vision is to develop Yeongjong Island into a destination for extended stays by combining 9.81 Park’s experiential leisure offerings with Paradise City’s cultural, artistic, and relaxation experiences.
The two companies will leverage their respective customer bases and online and offline channels to expand new customer touchpoints both domestically and internationally, and will pursue joint marketing efforts targeting foreign tourists. They also plan to develop bundled packages that combine the content and benefits of both facilities.
They will also broaden the scope of their cooperation to include joint overseas inbound sales, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), group tours, educational and experiential programs, and joint campaigns. They also plan to devise measures to enhance visitor convenience and transportation accessibility.
A DSM Corporation official stated, “Through this business agreement, we can now create a new form of tourism experience where visitors can experience dynamic K-leisure content brought to life by cutting-edge technology at 9.81 Park and enjoy culture, arts, relaxation, and entertainment at PARADISE City.” The official added, “By combining the strengths of both companies, we will establish a leading K-tourism hub centered around Incheon International Airport that attracts domestic and international tourists and strengthen our global tourism competitiveness.”
