The “Bucheon AI Video Education Center,” jointly operated by BIFAN, Bucheon City, and SBS A&T, announced on the 25th that it will conduct the “2026 AI Video Production Training Program for People with Disabilities” in collaboration with the Bucheon City Comprehensive Welfare Center for People with Disabilities.
This program, the second of its kind following last year’s initiative, began on the 24th and will run every Monday and Wednesday until the 23rd of next month, totaling 20 hours. Ten participants with disabilities and five non-disabled mentors will take part, taking on the challenge of producing short films using AI.
The program is structured as a hands-on training course covering the entire video production process—from planning and screenwriting using AI to image and video generation, audio production, and editing. It focuses on enabling participants, who have previously faced difficulties in traditional video production due to physical or environmental constraints, to use AI technology to bring their own stories to life on screen.
Follow-up support will also be provided to help participants continue their creative activities after the program. Plans are in place to facilitate ongoing production and collaboration, such as forming an AI video creation club composed primarily of program graduates.
A BIFAN official stated, “We were impressed by the passion for creativity and the depth of the works demonstrated by participants with disabilities in last year’s program,” adding, “We hope that through this year’s expanded program, participants will grow into creators who can convey their own stories.”
Launched with the goal of training 10,000 AI creators over five years, the Bucheon AI Video Education Center produced 2,023 graduates last year, its first year of operation.
