In the letter, she stated, “I am now preparing to build a ‘home’—something I’ve always dreamed of in my heart but also feared at times,” adding, “I’ve met someone who accepts me just as I am and stands by my side no matter what, and we’ll be getting married this year.” Song Ha-ye debuted in 2014 with “It’s My First Time” and gained popularity in 2019 when “News About You” reached the top of the music charts. After Song Ha-ye announced her marriage, it was revealed that her fiancé is Jo Mae-ryeok. Jo Mae-ryeok primarily hosts music-themed internet broadcasts and runs a YouTube channel with over 1.03 million subscribers. Song Ha-ye and Jo Mae-ryeok were both born in 1994. Song Ha-ye appeared on an internet broadcast hosted by Jo Mae-ryeok last March. Jo Mae-ryeok confirmed his marriage to Song Ha-ye during his personal broadcast that day but did not disclose the wedding date.
