According to Box Office Mojo, as of the 26th, “Spider-Man 4” has surpassed $858.4 million in North American box office revenue. This figure exceeds the box office revenue of “Avengers: Endgame” ($858.37 million).
As a result, “Spider-Man 4” has not only broken the record that had held the No. 2 spot on the all-time North American box office chart for seven years but has also become the highest-grossing North American film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
It currently trails the top-grossing film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (approximately $936.66 million), by about $78 million, raising questions about whether it can overtake it.
“Spider-Man 4” is an action blockbuster in which Peter Parker—forgotten by everyone following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”—is plunged into even deeper turmoil by the appearance of a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity and by a DNA mutation that grants him uncontrollable powers. He must face this new threat to protect those he cares about. The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya Coleman, and Sadie Sink.
The film continues its box office success in Korea, having surpassed 8 million viewers. It is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
