On the 31st, a funeral service for Lee Yong-ju was held at the Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Funeral Home in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. He was laid to rest at the Jeongnamsi Funeral and Cultural Center.
The deceased passed away on the 29th due to a heart attack. An acquaintance of the late Lee Yong-ju announced the news on social media, writing, “My friend Lee Yong-ju has passed away suddenly,” and added, “I still can’t believe this sudden news. I hope many people will join us in remembering Yong-ju on his final journey.”
Upon hearing the news, his colleagues from the tvN drama *The Blue Tower* expressed their deep sorrow. Kim Jae-woo said, “I can still vividly picture him walking toward me from afar with a beaming smile whenever I went to the set,” adding, “Yong-ju was a kind person who genuinely cared for his colleagues and an actor more passionate than anyone else. Today, with a heavy and sorrowful heart, I went to see him off on his final journey,” he said, paying tribute to the late Lee Yong-ju.
Kim Ho-chang pleaded, “Hyung, I’ll be back tomorrow. Please, let me see you at the funeral home,” asking to accompany him on his final journey.
Baek Bong-gi mourned the deceased, saying, “Yong-ju, I just can’t sleep at all knowing I’ll never see you again,” and added, “I only have regrets—I wish I had taken better care of you while you were here, contacted you one more time, and seen you more often.” He expressed his grief, saying, “I’m sorry, brother. I hope you live comfortably and happily there, free from any worries or pain,” and added, “I’m going to miss you so much. Farewell, Yong-ju,” expressing his deep sorrow.
