SK BIOPHARMACEUTICALS aims to develop Opacalim as its next-generation global new drug candidate following “cenobamate” and launch it in the U.S. market as early as 2029.

Yoo Chang-ho, Head of Strategy at SK BIOPHARMACEUTICALS, who led the Opakalim licensing agreement, also purchased 500 shares of the company’s stock following the announcement of the deal.

An SK BIOPHARMACEUTICALS official stated, “This share repurchase demonstrates management’s commitment to the company’s mid- to long-term growth, driven by the growth momentum of cenobamate and next-generation growth engines such as opacalim.”
