- China’s AI Infrastructure Projects Gain Momentum… Projected to Generate Over 15 Billion Won in New Revenue Next Year
- Stable Growth in Touch ICs Combined with New AI Business… Expectations for a Revaluation of Enterprise Value
[Edaily Reporter KIM JI-WAN ] Zinitix Co.,Ltd.(303030)is expected to enter a phase of earnings growth by expanding its existing business—centered on touch ICs—to include high-value-added TDDI and new AI infrastructure business in China. In particular, with new revenue of over 15 billion won expected next year from the AI infrastructure business through its local subsidiary in China, analysts predict that the company’s value could be reevaluated in the future.
In a Zinitix Co.,Ltd. corporate analysis report released on the 31st, analyst Kim Yong-ho stated, “Building on the stable market position of the existing touch IC business, the mass production of TDDI and the new AI infrastructure business are emerging as new growth drivers,” adding, “If the business proceeds as planned, we expect revenue of over 15 billion won from the AI infrastructure segment alone starting next year.”
Zinitix Co.,Ltd. is a fabless company that develops interface semiconductors used for touch recognition, haptic actuation, and power management, and is expanding its applications beyond smartphones and wearables to include laptops, tablets, automobiles, and home appliances.
In particular, since 2023, the company has been supplying touchpads for laptops to global set manufacturers, maintaining a market share of over 60% among its clients, and since 2024, it has been supplying the entire volume of book-cover models for tablets. As touch-based HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces) spread to various devices, the Chonbang market for touch ICs is expanding.
A key area to watch in the future is TDDI (Touch and Display Driver Integration), a product that integrates touch ICs and display driver ICs (DDIs) into a single chip, which commands a higher selling price compared to existing touch ICs. Analysts noted that Zinitix Co.,Ltd. has completed prototype development in collaboration with a company specializing in display driver ICs and aims to begin mass production within the year.
Analyst Kim explained, “Once mass production of TDDI begins in earnest, we expect to see an increase in ASP compared to existing touch ICs, along with an expansion in sales volume.”
In addition, the AI infrastructure business in China has provided new momentum for earnings.
On August 25, Zinitix Co.,Ltd. decided to acquire a 100% stake in Zinitix IntelliCompute Technology (ZIT) and moved forward with establishing a local subsidiary in China. The company stated that, through ZIT, it plans to supply full-stack AI solutions—combining hardware and software, such as AI computing devices (including AI Book and AI Box), AI smart glasses, on-premises AI knowledge management systems, and high-performance computing servers—primarily targeting large-scale B2B and B2G markets in China, including smart factories and smart cities.
Attention was also drawn to the structural changes in the business. Instead of building its own production facilities, the company will outsource manufacturing to local Chinese partners, while Zinitix Co.,Ltd. and ZIT will handle product planning and development. This structure was evaluated as a way to reduce the burden of initial investment and fixed costs while increasing profit leverage as sales expand in the future. ZIT is expected to be fully established by early September, and initial revenue is projected to begin as early as the fourth quarter of this year. Analysts estimate that, if the business proceeds as planned, revenue from the AI infrastructure business is expected to exceed 15 billion won next year.
Analyst Kim stated, “Zinitix Co.,Ltd. has secured a new growth engine in China’s AI infrastructure, in addition to expanding the applications of its existing touch IC business and increasing ASPs through TDDI mass production,” adding, “As the stability of the existing semiconductor business is combined with the growth potential of the new AI business, it is important to pay attention to the potential for future earnings growth and a revaluation of the company’s market valuation.”
