“PHASE 1: Soft Violence” is an 11-track album featuring the double title tracks “FLOAT” and “Gooey.” It also includes tracks such as “Let Me Be The One,” “Sober,” and “PARASITE,” which were performed on stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. last April. His agency, Galaxy Corporation, explained, “This is an album that explores the tension and contradictions hidden within familiar beauty,” adding, “Taemin will shed light on the flip side of beauty—which is shaped by the gaze and expectations of others—and convey the message that ‘beauty can sometimes be cruel.’” Several international producers contributed to this album, including Soft Subboy, who has written songs for LE SSERAFIM and SEVENTEEN; Drew Love of the American R&B duo Day; Baba, who co-wrote “Taki Taki” by DJ Snake and Selena Gomez; and Cook Harrell, who has worked with Rihanna and Beyoncé. All tracks will be released at 6 p.m. today via various online music platforms. Taemin will kick off his new world tour, “LiMiNaL,” with three concerts at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium from the 18th to the 20th of next month.
