Dexter Pictures' First Original Drama, 'Dive Into You,' Premieres September 26
Rakuten to Participate in Investment, Production, and Other Activities for "Viki"
"May This Become a Success Story That Transcends the Domestic Drama Programming Market"
[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] "Dive Into You," the first original intellectual property (IP) drama from Dexter Pictures—in which global online video service (OTT) Rakuten Viki participated through investment and production—has finalized its premiere date and streaming platform.
According to the production team of “Dive Into You” on the 31st, the series will premiere on September 26 on Disney+, Rakuten Viki, and Channel A. “Dive Into You” is a Korea-U.S.-Japan joint global project co-produced by Korea’s Dexter Pictures and Amuse Entertainment—the Korean subsidiary of Japanese entertainment conglomerate Amuse—with global OTT service Rakuten Viki participating in investment and production. "Dive Into You" tells the story of top actress Yoon Ha-na, whose soul is swapped with that of her twin brother following a mysterious accident, as she travels back in time to struggle to prevent the death of her first love, Jung Woo-jae. The series stars Kim Ji-yeon (Bona of WJSN), Park Seo-ham, Jang Se-hyuk, and Moon Seung-yu. “Dive Into You” marks the first project in which the global OTT platform Rakuten Viki has participated in the investment and production of a K-drama. It is scheduled to be released to Rakuten Viki’s audience of over 120 million users via a global subtitling service that supports up to 200 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. It will also be released in the Japanese market via Disney+. Dexter Pictures previously announced that Amuse Entertainment, the Korean subsidiary of Japanese entertainment conglomerate Amuse, would co-produce *Dive Into You*. With investment from major Japanese platforms and production participation from a major entertainment company, the series is expected to benefit from comprehensive support—including promotion and marketing—and generate significant synergy in the Japanese market. In South Korea, the series will be available to viewers via Disney+ and Channel A. “Dive into You” is scheduled to air as a Saturday-Sunday drama on Channel A, with its premiere set for Saturday, September 26, at 10:30 p.m. Previously, Dexter Pictures debuted its first drama production, tvN’s “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl.” The series ranked second globally in the TV Show category on Amazon Prime Video and entered the Top 10 in 35 countries; it also topped the Tving Top 10 list and ranked No. 1 in TV-OTT combined buzz for four consecutive weeks. It also achieved remarkable success both domestically and internationally, including winning the Best Comedy Program award at the 2025 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA), Asia’s largest content awards ceremony. “Dive for You” is the first original IP directly planned and developed by Dexter Pictures, building on its previous success. Kim Dong-hyun, CEO of Dexter Pictures, stated, “‘Dive for You’ is not a remake or an adaptation of an existing IP; it is an original IP drama produced by a Korean production company. Despite this, its competitiveness was recognized, leading to a collaboration with overseas platforms that resulted in its production.” He added, “We hope this project will serve as a successful example of how production companies can overcome the challenges of the increasingly difficult domestic drama programming market through close collaboration with global companies.”
