With this, “The Odyssey” has become the second foreign film to surpass 9 million viewers in South Korea since the pandemic, following “Avatar: The Way of Water.” Notably, “The Odyssey” reached the 9 million mark in just 27 days—less than a month after its release—demonstrating an unprecedented box office pace. This is three days faster than “Avatar: The Way of Water” (which reached the milestone on its 30th day). Furthermore, it surpassed the final box office totals of the top-grossing foreign films from each of the past three years—2023’s *Elemental* (7.24 million), 2024’s *Inside Out 2* (8.79 million), and 2025’s *Zootopia 2* (8.61 million)—to claim the title of the highest-grossing film. The box office momentum of *Odyssey*, which has held the No. 1 spot for four consecutive weeks, continues into its fifth week. All eyes are on whether *Odyssey* will become director Christopher Nolan’s second film to surpass 10 million viewers—following *Interstellar*—and set a new box office milestone. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" took second place at the box office, drawing 28,665 viewers. Its cumulative attendance stands at 8,577,063. Third place went to the Korean film "Gyeongju Journey." "Gyeongju Journey" was seen by 18,101 viewers, bringing its cumulative attendance to 210,485.
