Netflix announced on the 1st that Nana, Kim Dan, and Jung Geon-ju will star in the new series “Maderesa.”
“Maderesa” tells the story of “Maderesa,” a cold-blooded criminal psychologist and professor, who, with the help of her teaching assistant “Park Seol”—who hides a secret behind her innocent facade—and “Yoo A-ram,” a long-time friend of “Teresa” and a prosecutor, delves into unsolved murder cases and is forced to confront long-hidden truths and emotions.
Nana, who has appeared in the Netflix series “Mask Girl” and “Glitch,” as well as the films “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,” “Confession,” and “The Con Artists,” will take on the role of “Madresa,” who delves into unsolved murder cases while carrying the burden of past trauma. Nana is set to portray both the intense, ruthless nature of her character and her complex inner emotions. Kim Dan, who gained recognition through her roles in the SBS drama “Try: We Become Miracles” and the KBS2 series “Love: Track – Kimchi,” will play “Park Seol,” her teaching assistant who hides a secret behind her smile. Jeong Geon-ju, who has appeared in the Netflix series “The Square,” the dramas “A Week Before I Die” and “Check-in Hanyang,” and the film “Rebound,” takes on the role of “Yoo A-ram,” “Maderesa’s” longtime friend and a prosecutor who assists her.
Director Jang Young-woo, known for tvN dramas such as *The Queen of Tears* and *Bulgasa*, is directing the series, while writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won—who penned the Netflix series *The East Palace* and the drama *The Guest*—are writing the screenplay.
Meanwhile, Netflix is drawing attention with the release of its new series “Field Mouse.” “Field Mouse” is a thriller that follows novelist Moon Jae—who has had his name, face, and entire life stolen by a mysterious entity known as “Field Mouse”—along with loan shark No Ja, who is trying to recover his lost money, and detective Sun-yong as they investigate the true identity of Field Mouse. As of the 1st, it ranks No. 1 on South Korea’s Top 10 list.
