WooriFinancialGroup announced on the 2nd that Chairman Lim purchased 5,000 shares of WooriFinancialGroup’s treasury stock on the open market. The acquisition price was 31,800 won per share. With this purchase, Chairman Lim’s holdings of WooriFinancialGroup’s treasury stock have increased to 15,000 shares. Recently, not only Chairman Lim but also 56 executives of WooriFinancialGroup have joined in purchasing treasury stock.
An official from Woori Financial Group explained, “The fact that the entire group management team, led by Chairman Lim Jong-ryong, has collectively stepped forward to purchase treasury stock is an expression of our firm commitment to responsible management and boosting the stock price.” The official added, “Based on securing growth momentum, we will faithfully implement our ‘Value-Up’ plan—a promise to the market—to resolve the undervaluation of our stock and meet shareholders’ expectations for returns.”
Meanwhile, Chairman Lim plans to tour Europe this month to hold investor relations (IR) briefings. The goal is to strengthen relationships with existing investors and secure new investments by explaining Woori Financial’s fundamentals and future management plans.
