Distributor KT Studio Genie announced on the 3rd, “The film ‘Nam Eun-jeong’ has finalized a stellar cast lineup—including Yeom Jung-ah, Park Eun-bin, Wi Ha-jun, Lee Ki-taek, and Lee Min-ji—and begins filming today.”
The film “Nam Eun-jeong” tells the story of Hyun-sook, a mother who has never been close to her youngest daughter Eun-jeong, and the two as they work to resolve the emotional misunderstandings that have built up between them.
Yeom Jung-ah takes on the role of Kang Hyun-sook, a mother who has single-handedly and steadfastly raised her three children. Hyun-sook is a character who has faced countless turning points in her life, and Yeom Jung-ah plans to bring this candid and charming character to life with her signature solid acting skills.
Park Eun-bin plays Nam Eun-jeong, the youngest daughter who has lived in constant conflict with her mother, Hyun-sook, to the point where even the slightest trace of affection has vanished. She is expected to portray Eun-jeong’s complex feelings toward her mother in a multidimensional way, evoking deep empathy from daughters of all generations. News of her next film project—her first in four years since *The Witch 2* (2022)—is heightening anticipation.

Wi Ha-joon takes on the role of Park Seon-woo, Eun-jeong’s boyfriend who always warmly supports her. Widely recognized as a box-office draw—having demonstrated his versatility across genres from romance to action and horror in projects such as the “Squid Game” series and the drama “Siren”—Wi Ha-joon portrays Park Eun-bin’s boyfriend, showcasing his deep affection and tender side toward Eun-jeong.
Lee Ki-taek, who won a Best New Actor award for the drama “Efficient Dating for Single Men and Women” and recently showcased his approachable and down-to-earth charm on the variety show “2 Days & 1 Night,” has been cast as Nam Eun-cheol, the eldest of the three siblings. Lee Ki-taek takes on a new acting challenge as Eun-cheol, a pastor and the reliable eldest sibling.
Lee Min-ji, who has delivered distinctive performances in various works such as “Reply 1988,” “A Hundred Memories,” and “Jeong-nyeon,” has joined the cast as Nam Nam-mi, the second-oldest sibling. Lee Min-ji is set to mediate between the youngest sister, Eun-jeong, and their mother, Hyun-sook, creating a realistic family dynamic.
