According to MP Doctor on the 3rd, as of 9:11 a.m., WELCRON HANTEC CO.,LTD. is trading at 1,157 won, up 7.03% from the previous trading day.
Previously, the company announced that its largest shareholder, Welcron Company Limited, had purchased a total of 439,573 shares of WELCRON HANTEC CO.,LTD. on the open market since May. As a result, Welcron Company Limited’s holdings increased to 6,265,682 shares, and its stake rose from 25.79% to 27.73%.
CEO Lee Young-kyu has also purchased a total of 355,071 shares on the open market since June. CEO Kang Young-gil, inside directors Shin Jeong-jae and Jeong Seong-sik, and auditor Song Young-seop also acquired an additional 10,008 shares, 120,450 shares, 109,230 shares, and 4,160 shares, respectively. Consequently, as of September 1, the combined shareholding of the largest shareholder and related parties stood at 8,761,264 shares—an increase of 1,066,185 shares compared to the beginning of the year—and their ownership stake rose from 34.06% to 38.78%.
The company explained that these steps toward responsible management align with its efforts to normalize business operations. WELCRON HANTEC CO.,LTD. recently resolved the burden of assuming approximately 42.5 billion won in project financing (PF) debt related to the Sihwa MTV development project. As a result, its financial burden has been significantly reduced, including the reversal of approximately 19.0 billion won in provisions previously set aside. The company also returned to profitability in the first half of the year, posting a consolidated net income of 17.2 billion won.
Sales activities aimed at securing new projects are also returning to normal. The company recently won a contract for the new construction of “Buk Wirye Village,” a project being pursued by KB Golden Life Care. With a contract value of approximately 80 billion won, the company will now undertake another major project for KB Golden Life Care, following its work on the Seocho and Eunpyeong projects.
