[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Singer Hong Ja is making a comeback after a hiatus.

According to her agency, Artsro, on the 3rd, Hong Ja will release her new song “Eomni Ul-eomni” at 12:00 p.m. on the 21st via various online music platforms.
“Eomni Ul Eomni” is a trot song centered on the theme of deep affection and longing for one’s mother. The track blends a lively rhythm, lyrical lyrics, and Hong Ja’s uniquely soulful voice—often referred to as the “gomtang voice.”
Hong Ja personally participated in writing the lyrics for this new song. An agency representative stated, “Hong Ja took some time this summer to reflect on herself and completed the lyrics for ‘Eomni Ul Eomni.’”
Hong Ja, who debuted in 2012, gained widespread popularity after placing third in the 2019 TV Chosun trot competition show “Miss Trot.” This is her first new release in a year, following the release of “My Daughter” last September.
