On the 3rd, So Ji-sub’s agency, Fifty-One K (51k), announced, “So Ji-sub will kick off his Asian fan meeting tour, ‘Soulmate The Timeless,’ on October 24 in Macau, followed by stops in five Asian cities.” “Soulmate The Timeless” conveys the message that he wishes to remain steadfastly by the side of fans who have supported him for a long time, regardless of the passage of time.
Through the fan meetings, So Ji-sub plans to showcase his on-screen personas, behind-the-scenes stories, and a variety of stage performances.
A poster was released ahead of the fan meetings. In the poster, So Ji-sub exudes a sophisticated vibe with a clean look, pairing a white T-shirt with a black jacket. He gazes at the camera with a bright smile, revealing his excitement ahead of meeting his fans.
This Asian tour holds special significance as it marks So Ji-sub’s meeting with global fans following the massive success of his recent projects, which have cemented his immense popularity both domestically and internationally.
So Ji-sub previously delivered a powerful performance as the lead character, Manager Kim, in the SBS drama “Manager Kim,” driving the series to massive success with a peak viewership rating of 23.1% (Nielsen Korea/nationwide households). “Chief Kim” is a revenge action drama about an ordinary father fighting to get his only daughter back. It also gained popularity overseas, ranking No. 1 in Netflix’s Global Non-English TV Shows category and making it into the Top 10 in 73 countries. As this marks his first opportunity to meet Asian fans in person since the success of “Chief Kim,” expectations are running high.
So Ji-sub is scheduled to meet fans starting in Macau on October 24, followed by Manila on November 5, Taipei on November 7, Jakarta on November 13, and Bangkok on November 15.
