[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] TSI Co., Ltd.(277880), a company specializing in rechargeable battery mixing equipment, announced on the 4th that it has secured a contract worth approximately 24.1 billion won to supply rechargeable battery mixing equipment to Japan’s DJK (DAIICHI JITSUGYO CO., LTD.).

DJK is a Japan-based company that operates globally in the industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment sectors; the value of this contract for the supply of rechargeable battery mixing equipment accounts for 9.12% of TSI Co., Ltd.’s revenue from last year.

TSI Co., Ltd. explained that this order is significant because the company secured the project by competing against Japanese equipment manufacturers that have accumulated technical expertise in the mixing equipment sector.

TSI Co., Ltd. has accumulated mixing process design technology, customer-tailored engineering capabilities, and experience executing projects both domestically and internationally. In addition to its technical expertise in the equipment itself, the company’s ability to design processes and execute projects tailored to customers’ production conditions is cited as a key factor in its competitiveness in winning orders.

Recently, as production lines in the global battery market have become larger and more sophisticated, the importance of the mixing process has also come to the fore. Mixing is the process of uniformly blending raw materials, which determines the quality of the electrode slurry. TSI Co., Ltd. plans to strengthen its competitiveness in securing global orders based on the technical know-how and engineering experience it has accumulated through domestic and international projects.

A TSI Co., Ltd. official stated, “This contract is significant because we secured it by competing against a Japanese equipment company with advanced technical capabilities in the mixing equipment sector,” adding, “Our competitive edge stemmed from our process design and engineering capabilities, which were optimized for the customer’s production environment and requirements.”

The official continued, “We will use this project as a key reference in the Japanese market to attract new customers and will continue to pursue additional projects in the global market.”
