Naver announced on the 4th that it will host “NEPFESTA,” an offline festival exclusively for Naver Plus Membership users, at Anderson C Seongsu in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, from October 30 to November 1.
Naver Festa is a shopping, culture, and music festival that integrates Naver’s key technologies and services, such as reservations, entry verification, payments, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Naver organized this event to provide membership users with a new experience that bridges the online and offline worlds.
Naver has revealed the first wave of artists performing at NEPFESTA: Silica Gel, Lucy, Zion.T, Card Garden, and Kwon Jin-ah. It has also disclosed some of the participating shopping brands and plans to sequentially announce details regarding shopping, the partner zone, food and beverage (F&F) brands, the full artist lineup, and special merchandise in the coming days.
Ticket sales are open exclusively to Naver Plus Membership users. Early bird sales begin at 1:00 PM on October 6, and general sales open on October 7. Users who make payments of 200,000 won or more via Naver Pay (Npay) between September 4 and October 5 will be eligible for early bird benefits.
From facial recognition to NFT stamps
Naver Pay’s FaceSign will be implemented at the NEPFESTA venue. Users can enter the venue more quickly using FaceSign.
Facesign is a deep learning-based facial recognition model developed in-house by Naver. It supports quick, walk-through authentication and, according to the company, securely stores and manages facial data by applying anti-spoofing technology to detect fake faces and post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
A Naver Pay Wallet-based NFT Stamp Tour event will also be held on-site. Naver Pay Wallet is a Web3 digital asset wallet service based on Naver IDs. It is used to store and manage digital assets, helping to prevent ticket forgery and fraudulent transactions.
In the brand zones at the event venue, FaceSign payments are also available via the offline integrated terminal “Naver Pay Connect.” A separate promotion will also be held during the event period at stores in the Seongsu area that have adopted Naver Pay Connect.
Membership Event Combining Brand Experiences and Performances
Naver Festa will also feature a space where visitors can discover and experience a variety of brands—including beauty, lifestyle, and food—listed on the Naver Brand Store.
Major brands from the Naver Plus Store will operate special booths and plan to offer limited-edition merchandise to all attendees. Through this, Naver aims to provide a differentiated shopping experience centered on its membership customers.
Shim Jun-yong, Naver’s Brand Experience Leader, said, “NEP Festa, an offline membership festival that combines Naver’s company-wide capabilities in shopping, reservations, and payments, has prepared a diverse lineup for users in their 20s and 30s, ranging from artist performances to brand experience zones.” He added, “We will continue to introduce various innovative events that connect Naver’s online and offline ecosystems.”
