[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The group 82MAJOR has topped the real-time digital music charts for the first time since their debut. Following their record-breaking album sales, they have now secured their first No. 1 spot on the digital music charts, proving their upward momentum with concrete numbers. 82MAJOR (Photo: Screenshot from KBS2’s “Music Bank”) According to their agency, Great M Entertainment, on the 5th, 82MAJOR took the No. 1 spot on the Bugs Real-Time Top 100 Chart on the 4th with “Like Fire,” the title track from their second single “HEAT.” This marks their first time topping a real-time music chart since their debut. This achievement is particularly significant as it marks 82Major’s first No. 1 on a digital music chart, coming as the group has steadily expanded its reach. Having broken their own records with every new release, they have now achieved notable results not only in album sales but also on digital music charts. “Like Fire” also set a new personal best on Melon. Immediately after its release, it entered the Melon Hot 100 (for tracks released within the last 30 days) at No. 64, surpassing their previous highest ranking. Album sales also followed an upward trend. The single “Hit,” released on the 1st, topped the Hanteo Chart’s daily chart on the day of its release with 60,000 copies sold. This achievement surpassed the first-day record set by their previous mini-album, “FEELM.” By simultaneously securing their first-ever real-time digital song No. 1 and daily album No. 1 since their debut, the upward trajectory of this comeback has become even more evident. The positive response extended overseas as well. “Like Fire” reached No. 3 on both the iTunes Spain “Top Songs Chart” and “All Genres Chart,” and also entered the charts in Germany, the UK, Australia, and Canada. On China’s Wangyi Music, it ranked No. 21 on the Rising Chart, No. 46 on the Uptrend Chart, and No. 88 on the New Songs Chart. Along with their chart success, they have also kicked off their music show promotions in earnest. On the 4th, 82Major performed their “Like Fire” comeback stage on KBS2’s “Music Bank.” They evoked a rugged vibe with black outfits and white bandages wrapped around their hands, and expressed the new song’s concept through intense group choreography and a signature move featuring matches. Earlier, on the 2nd, they met with fans at a live concert celebrating the new album’s release at Cheonggye Plaza in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. The performance was broadcast live on a large electronic billboard at the Dong-A Ilbo building. This comeback marked a turning point for 82Major. Following the breaking of their own record with 60,000 album sales on the first day of release, they also achieved their highest-ever ranking on Melon and claimed their first No. 1 spot on the Bugs real-time chart. This signifies that the growth they have accumulated over time has begun to translate into concrete chart results. 82Major will appear on MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on the 5th and take the stage on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on the 6th.
