On the 4th, Kwon Min-ah posted a lengthy message on her social media, claiming that her older sister had taken more than 700 to 800 million won—a sum combining funds belonging to herself, her mother, and one other person.
Kwon Min-ah explained that she became aware of the scale of the financial issues about two years ago after carefully reviewing her assets and bank statements through her mother. She claimed that, based on the evidence she has secured, there is a promissory note for 150 million won, and that she was forced to sign documents related to the purchase of a vehicle costing over 100 million won.
She revealed that she had covered both the medical expenses and post-surgery costs while her older sister was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She added that her mother had also cared for her older sister throughout her illness.
Kwon Min-ah stated that she wants her mother to admit her wrongdoing and apologize rather than simply returning the money. She warned that if there is no apology or admission of guilt, she will pursue legal action regarding charges such as fraud, forgery of private documents, embezzlement, and extortion.
However, since Kwon Min-ah herself has stated that no proceedings have yet been initiated through the police or the courts, the details currently presented are merely claims made by Kwon Min-ah’s side and have not been verified by investigative agencies or the courts.
