The center is a facility dedicated to developing technologies that enable the application of CJ CheilJedang Corp.’s flavor ingredients to various foods, helping customers achieve their desired flavors. It supports the application of these technologies during the product development process and ultimately assists client companies in commercializing their products.
This Singapore center marks the company’s fourth such facility, following locations in South Korea, Chicago, U.S., and Wageningen, Netherlands. In particular, it is intended to serve as a hub for strengthening technical support and collaboration regarding flavor ingredients for customers in the Asia-Pacific region.
Based at the Singapore center, CJ CheilJedang Corp plans to expand technical exchanges with major clients in neighboring countries by highlighting its premium flavor ingredient, “Taste & Rich.” From the 2nd to the 4th, the company invited key clients from the region to announce the center’s opening and introduce its flavor and nutritional ingredients, as well as food application solutions.
CJ CheilJedang Corp’s Food Flavoring Ingredients “Taste & Rich,” the company’s flagship product, is a next-generation natural flavor ingredient developed based on CJ CheilJedang Corp.’s microbial fermentation research and development (R&D) capabilities. It is produced by fermenting naturally derived raw materials, such as sugarcane, without any artificial additives. A key feature is that when applied to food, it helps reduce sodium and other additives while maintaining flavor quality.
Along with Taste & Rich, CJ CheilJedang Corp. is strengthening its push into the global market by promoting its flavor ingredient product lineup, including “CJ TIDE” and “Add-Mi Nucleic Acid Solutions.” The company also plans to cultivate its flavor ingredient business as a future growth engine by diversifying the Taste & Rich brand portfolio and expanding customized flavor solutions tailored to individual customers.
A CJ CheilJedang Corp. official stated, “Through the Singapore Global Technical Center, we are now able to collaborate more closely with customers in the Asia-Pacific region,” adding, “Based on our differentiated technology and product capabilities, we will provide solutions that satisfy both health and taste.”
