SAMLIP announced on the 7th that it is expanding the size of the mutual prosperity fund, established in partnership with Shinhan Bank to alleviate the financial burden on its partner companies, to 35 billion won—an increase of 7 billion won from the previous amount.

The mutual growth fund is a program that utilizes interest income from time deposits SAMLIP has placed with Shinhan Bank to provide low-interest loans to its partner companies. Through the “Mutual Growth Agreement Loan Product for Partner Companies,” SAMLIP’s partner companies can receive preferential interest rates approximately 1.4 percentage points lower than market rates.

SAMLIP has been continuously expanding the Mutual Growth Fund in accordance with its “Mutual Growth Agreement for Partner Companies” with Shinhan Bank. Starting with an initial 20 billion won in 2016, the fund’s size has been gradually increased to 28 billion won in 2024 and 35 billion won this year. The company explained that the budget available for the Mutual Growth Fund can be up to twice the amount of the fixed-term deposits it has placed with the bank.

A SAMLIP official stated, “This expansion of the mutual growth fund is part of our sustainable management (ESG) strategy aimed at fostering shared growth with our partner companies,” adding, “As a company leading the domestic and international bakery markets, we will continue to do our utmost to support partner companies facing difficulties and fulfill our social responsibilities.”
