KakaoBank Corp. announced on the 8th that it has partnered with kakaopay Securities to launch the stock investment service “Stock Home.” “Stock Home” is a service that allows users to access the stock investment service (WTS) provided by kakaopay Securities via the “Investment” tab within the KakaoBank Corp. app. KakaoBank Corp. customers can check stock listings and investment information in the app and then invest in actual stocks through kakaopay Securities’ WTS. They can also view their investment status all in one place within the KakaoBank Corp. app. Users can also easily transfer investment funds by linking their KakaoBank Corp. checking account to their kakaopay Securities account. Along with the launch of “Stock Home,” KakaoBank Corp. is also introducing “26-Week ETF Savings.” This service combines the concept of KakaoBank Corp.’s flagship product, the “26-Week Savings Plan,” with kakaopay Securities’ regular investment products. It allows users to purchase ETFs regularly each week with a set amount. Additionally, since it enables diversified investing with small amounts, even customers unfamiliar with investing can get started without any pressure. KakaoBank Corp. stated, “We have expanded the investment services offered in the ‘Investment’ tab to include stocks, allowing customers to manage their assets more conveniently,” adding, “We will continue to introduce services that make investing—which can often feel difficult and complicated—an easy and convenient experience.” Meanwhile, stocks and ETFs are not covered by deposit insurance, and investors may lose their principal depending on investment results. Furthermore, past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
