[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] Quality Reliability Technology Inc.(405100), a company specializing in semiconductor reliability evaluation, is partnering with AI data and solutions firm AIWorks to launch a semiconductor verification business utilizing AI.

Quality Reliability Technology Inc. announced on the 10th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AIWorks to collaborate in the field of AI-based semiconductor testing, analysis, and verification.

The core of this collaboration is to use AI to analyze data accumulated during the semiconductor testing process to detect defects or signs of abnormalities at an early stage. Semiconductor reliability evaluation involves subjecting products to various environments and conditions to verify whether failures or performance degradation occur. Analyzing test results requires a significant amount of time and manpower.

The two companies plan to develop AI models using logs and defect analysis data accumulated during the testing process. This approach involves automatically identifying anomalies in test results, estimating the causes of defects, and predicting the likelihood of future occurrences. They also plan to automate the reliability evaluation process.

AIWorks is a company with a track record in building AI training datasets, verifying data and model quality, and automating software testing. Recently, it has been expanding its business into the field of AI semiconductor verification based on its AI and software verification technologies.

Quality Reliability Technology Inc. possesses semiconductor reliability evaluation and defect analysis technologies accumulated over more than 40 years. The two companies aim to reduce verification time and costs while improving quality by combining Quality Reliability Technology Inc.’s semiconductor testing and analysis technologies with AIWorks’ AI technologies.

In particular, they will embark on joint proof-of-concept projects and commercialization efforts, focusing on industries that require high semiconductor reliability, such as autonomous driving, data centers, and the aerospace and defense sectors.

Lee Kyu-bok, CEO of Quality Reliability Technology Inc., stated, “In the era of AI semiconductors, the speed and precision of testing and analysis determine competitiveness,” adding, “Together with AI Works, we will expand our business into high-reliability markets such as aerospace and defense.”

Yoon Seok-won, CEO of AIWorks, remarked, “This will serve as an opportunity to extend AI-based reliability verification technology beyond software to actual semiconductors and physical environments,” adding, “We will establish an AI-based verification system in industries where reliability is critical.”

Starting with this agreement, the two companies plan to pursue joint Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects and demonstration initiatives, and expand joint business development and technical cooperation with domestic and international customers.
